Spring GroveSpring Grove Aquatic Center

Spring Grove, MN

USAquatics, Inc. was hired by The City to design a new Municipal Family Aquatic Facility to replace the existing pool.

USAquatics worked directly with The City to design a facility that truly met the needs of the community while maintaining its own identity.

The final design was one that provided the community with room for growth, while also providing features and amenities that appealed to each age group.  The single body of water has “something for everyone.”

A 6 – lane x 25yd lap area includes dual basketball hoops, a dual drop slide and 1M diving board.  A connected plunge area provides one open and one enclosed body slide and includes walk out stairs.  A fan-shaped zero depth entry, while connected by water, is separated by a floatable water walk.  The zero-depth entry provides plenty of shallow water for little swimmers, as well as a wide variety of play features sure to entertain.

A custom “Viking Ship” themed tot slide provides a unique touch that relates to the history of Spring Grove.  A new bathhouse that includes ample covered seating directly adjacent to the concessions area allows for a safe place to take a break while avoiding the sun.  The facility is complete with locker rooms, family change rooms and additional restrooms that accessible to the public.  The project budget was $3.0 million.
