The best way to beat the winter cold is indoors, and what better way to spend your days than relaxing at a lodge or playing in an indoor water park. The Delano Herald Journal (DHJ) came up with their "eight indoor water parks to try in Minnesota this winter". Among the eight selected, Arrowhead Lodge at Brainerd Lake and The Lagoon at Treasure Island Resort & Casino, both designed by USAquatics, were featured in January 12, 2018 Winter Destinations ​in the DHJ

If you choose to visit Arrowhead Lodge at Brainerd Lakes, you can access the water park by either being a guest at the lodge or by purchasing a day pass. Features include a 30,000 sq. ft. indoor water park, with a zero-depth beach type entry activity pool, a deeper end with four basketball hoops, as well as a floating log walk. Along with the activity pool the facility includes a lazy river with a body slide and an interactive tube slide that allows the rider to choose a unique ride that has lights, in slide holograms and sounds that correspond with their selection.

The Lagoon at Treasure Island Resort & Casino is a 40,000 sq. ft. indoor water park, attached to a 350 room hotel in Welch, MN. The water park has a zero-depth beach type entry activity pool that includes shallow water sprays, a tot slide and themed water play elements.The activity pool also features an open water slide and an enclosed water slide. The Lagoon features a 320' winding lazy river complete with a dumping water bucket, lounge stairs, rapids and a waterfall underneath a bridge. The adult side of the water park features a 2-tiered hot water spa and the ONLY swim up bar pool in Minnesota, The Barefoot Bar! The bar pool is complete with ample seating, in-pool bar stools and hi-top tables. Directly adjacent to the bar pool is an outdoor patio area that offers an outdoor hot water spa that is open year round – decks are equipped with in floor heat to melt any snow or ice. The Lagoon can be accessed free as a guest of the resort or by purchasing a day pass.
