Conceptual drawing of Parkers Prairie Aquatic Center

Working closely with the city of Parkers Prairie, USAquatics teamed up with Hay Dobbs Architects, to help complete the Parkers Prairie Aquatic Center. Astoundingly, in the construction of the Parkers Prairie Aquatic Center, no public funds or tax money was used, 100% of the $2.2 million facility was made possible by donations from individuals and businesses. The Parkers Prairie Aquatic Center has features for the whole family. A zero-entry area was created for toddlers and non-swimmers so they can freely play in the shallow water. The zero-entry progresses to a 2.5-foot depth splash pool with play features such as sprinklers and basketball hoop. A ramp was created between the zero-entry and the deeper side of the pool to allow for wheelchairs, walkers or for a more gradual entry to the deeper side of the pool. In the deeper side of the pool the depth begins at 3.5-foot and gradually progresses to a 10-foot depth, where a diving board are located.

To help focus on the safety and enjoyment of their visitors, Parkers Prairie will provide swimmers with a Pink, Green or Blue wrist band, giving them accesses to specific areas of the aquatic center.

As the season continues, Parkers Prairie has even more planned for 2018, and hopes to add more features such as water slides and a climbing wall.
