USAquatics , Inc. was hired by the City of Hutchinson to assess the existing outdoor pool facility. The City of Hutchinson had seen a major drop in attendance to the aquatic facility in the last few years and were wanting to update their existing pool in hope to attract existing and new patrons to the pool. After a thorough assessment of the facility was conducted, USAquatics, Inc. provided The City of Hutchinson with documentation on necessary repairs and a budget estimate that reflected those corrections. Among those repairs, options were given to replace the existing wading pool with a zero-depth entry pool, the addition of a plunge pool with water slides and a complete overhaul of the locker room areas. USAquatics, Inc. began working closely with the city staff to insure the design concept met the desired needs of the new aquatic center and the community.
The master plans began to take form and once completed the aquatic facility provided a wide range of amenities for all ages. A zero-depth entry pool, with toddler slide and water arch, provide the perfect place for youngsters to easily play and splash. Three large water slides and lazy river offer excitement and relaxation for big kids and adults. An 8-lane lap pool, climbing wall, zip-line, diving boards – 1 and 3 meters, add non-stop fun for the whole family. Also added were shaded areas, family restrooms, and locker rooms.
