Downriver YMCA - Southgate, MI

This joint venture between the city of Southgate and the YMCA incorporates all the traditional YMCA amenities in addition to community center activities and an outdoor aquatic center.

The 10,000 sq. ft. outdoor  pool is equipped with a separate entrance for non members for admission to the facility.  There are two body slides including an open flume and an enclosed flume slide that run into a catch pool attached to the activity pool.  Also included in the activity pool is a zero-depth entrance with shallow water play features, a vortex pool and lap lanes.

Inside is a 5,700 sq. ft. activity pool with zero-depth entrance, shallow water play features, and a spa.  On the far end of the pool there is another body slide for guests to enjoy.  Members can look down into the aquatic facility from the second floor of the cardio workout room.
